The brainchild of creator, producer, and director Anthony Hand, the animated feature captures the spirit of drag and turns it into a new superpower, as an unsuspecting barista named Simon inherits a new wig that has some interesting intergalactic properties that turn him into Maxxie LaWow! The film features the voice talent of legendary drag personalities, including Jinkx Monsoon, BenDeLaCrème, Monét X Change, and more. Combining animation excitement, mighty musical numbers, and plenty of heart, the film has been richly awarded on the independent film circuit.

Anthony Hand generously shared his story on bringing Maxxie LaWow: Drag Super-Shero to the masses, turning his love of comic books and fantasy stories into a celebration of his profound interest in the art of drag. In an animation style that is reminiscent of classic cartoon series like The Powerpuff Girls, Jem and the Holograms, and even Scooby-Doo, there is comedic timing and entertainment galore.

The film is also a call-to-action for anyone, especially those in the LGBTQ+ community, to share in the spotlight of inclusivity.
