The Fallen Angel teases and tantalizes audiences for six seasons of the hit series, surviving network television cancelation and resurrecting on Netflix to fans’ elation. With his comedic flair and dashing sex appeal, Ellis leads a cast of charismatically colorful characters on a journey of redemption worthy of the afterlife.

Tired of torturing souls from his throne in Hell, Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) decides he needs a break from it all and takes up residence in Los Angeles, the city of the soulless. With his bodyguard Mazi (Lesley-Ann Brandt), the devil does the only thing he can do to keep his cover and opens a nightclub in the heart of Hollywood. From here, the Prince of Lies deals in promises and feeds his decadent hunger until he crosses paths with Det. Chloe Decker (Lauren German), and suddenly his entire existence is turned inside out!

Decker is devoted to finding justice and appears to be immune to Lucifer’s corruptible charm, who, along the way, becomes obsessed with partnering with Chloe on her cases, much to the chagrin of her ex, Dan (Kevin Alejandro). All the while, the balance between Heaven and Earth is compromised! If Amenadiel (D.B. Woodside) can’t convince Lucifer to return to Hell, then a battle between good and evil is inevitable, possibly unleashing Hell on Earth. Set against the backdrop of Los Angeles and Hollywood, Lucifer has a film noir appeal, a darkly comic sensibility, and a sexy sensibility.

This City of Angels

Based on the DC Comics/Vertigo graphic novel characters, the series was a decent hit on network television, but as the superhero bubble started to reach its apex, audience attention started to shift to more adult-oriented styles popularized by Amazon Prime’s The Boys. Fans weren’t ready to say goodbye to Lucifer and campaigned to save the series, which was inevitably picked up by Netflix, giving the series a new life on a streaming service. The cast eagerly stepped it up, showing more skin and sin, and maintaining the tone that made it popular to begin with.

Lucifer was so well-received that when the Arrowverse realized the landmark “Crisis on Infinite Earths” storyline from DC Comics for its primetime series, the character also crossed over, marking the anti-hero’s relevance to the overall continuity of the DC extended primetime universe. Now with all the episodes delivered in high definition Blu-ray and captured in DTS-HD Master Audio, you can bring the complete series home and indulge in all its guilty pleasures. Ellis is captivating and a true leading man, with a cast sure to raise the temperature.
