DC Studios continues to take shape, and it’s looking rather scary, as revealed in the final trailer for the upcoming CLAYFACE theatrical feature. Here’s your First Look…
The streets of Gotham City are coming alive in the latest release from DC Studios, giving movie fans an expanding vision of the DC cinematic universe that was first realized in James Gunn’s Superman (2025). Unexpectedly, it isn’t the Dark Knight who will give theatergoers a first look at the crime-ridden streets, as much speculation still surrounds who will suit up in the cape and cowl for the still-in-development Brave and the Bold, featuring the DCEU introduction of Batman and Robin. Instead, the honor goes to one of his most feared adversaries.
In the upcoming Clayface starring Tom Rhys Harries as the ill-fated Matt Hagen, the film will reveal the origin story of Gotham City’s local boy done good, who becomes a Hollywood A-lister. Unfortunately, Hagen draws the rage of a crime boss who horribly disfigures him, and thanks to a cutting-edge treatment administered by Naomi Ackie’s character, Hagen is able to return to some of his glory, but not without some frightening side effects. The film, directed by James Watkins, will follow the character’s downward spiral on his “destructive path to all-consuming revenge.”
