Trailer | Marvel Studios’ THOR: Love and Thunder

Lightning strikes…again! This time it’s coming from two sides! As fans get their “first look” at Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster wielding her own magic hammer when Chris Hemsworth returns for a fourth time in Marvel Studios’ THOR: Love and Thunder!

Here comes the rain again. When movie audiences last met up with Chris Hemsworth as the Marvel Comics God of Thunder, the always fit to form leading man, looked like he’d earned his weight in gold (literally) defending the planet against the terror of Thanos in Avengers: Endgame. If that would have been it for the hero, his riding off into the sunset after that climactic confrontation would have been well earned and movie audiences wouldn’t have begrudged it a bit. Fortunately for us, it appears that was only the conclusion of one volume.

As is evidenced in the first trailer for this summer’s next blockbuster Marvel Studios’ THOR: Love and Thunder the blonde locks are back and so is the hero’s waistline. Hopscotching through space along with Star Lord (Chris Pratt) and his Guardians of the Galaxy proves to be the best bit of cardio needed to shed that pot belly. Now Thor (Hemsworth) is in search of the next fight and hopefully on a path to new discoveries, but not all roads lead to fulfillment and vindication. In fact, on one of those winding roads, Thor is about to cross paths with another God of Thunder, or rather a Goddess of Thunder.

Natalie Portman returns to the franchise as Jane Foster. Her love interest hasn’t been seen since the second film in the series Thor: The Dark World and only briefly as part of the time heist in the aforementioned Avengers: Endgame. The actress made a worthy reappearance at San Diego Comic-Con a few years back (and before the pandemic locked us all down) carrying a version of Thor’s original hammer. Stormbreaker, the ax Thor had fashioned for himself to take on Thanos reappears in the trailer for Love and Thunder along with his new Rock God of Ages attire!
